Could God be warning His people through unique dreams, visions and encounters?
In a recent prophetic message, Katie Souza shared a vivid spiritual encounter that she believes signals a coming global economic collapse. The key? A mysterious sea creature.

Souza describes being taken in the spirit to a vast ocean, where she witnessed a Loch Ness-style sea monster underwater. Above, she saw freight ships crossing the sea.
“I was taking pictures of the creature, but all I had were the negatives,” she recalled. Later, in a vision of a registration desk, a paper bag bearing the image of the same sea monster flew into her hands. For Souza, this was a clear message: what lies beneath the surface, both spiritually and economically, is about to be revealed.
The Lord spoke the word “reef” to her, pointing her to Acts 27:41, where the apostle Paul’s ship struck a reef where two seas met. Souza explains this is a metaphor for a coming global economic shipwreck, where commerce between the nations, symbolized by oceanic freight trade, will grind to a halt.
“Oceans represent commerce,” she said. “They transport food, machinery, fuel, everything we need to live and survive. God told me a sign would be when a sea monster, like the Loch Ness creature, is discovered or proven real. That will be our warning that a global collapse is coming.”
She backs this up with Psalm 104:25–27, which speaks of ships and Leviathan which are biblically acknowledged as sea creatures. “Even the Bible references sea monsters among the ships. The imagery is both prophetic and literal.”
Souza connects this warning to another prophetic word from Tomi Arayomi, who declared that beginning in 2023, the world entered a seven-year season of supernatural prosperity for the body of Christ that would then be followed by seven years of famine. “This sea sign could mark the shift between those seasons,” she said.
However, there is still hope. Souza urges believers to prepare spiritually and practically. Psalm 112 becomes a blueprint for surviving the coming collapse: conduct affairs with justice, give generously and trust in God. “Even in darkness, light will dawn for the upright,” she said. “We don’t need to fear the bad news if we’re living righteously.”

Practical steps in preparation for the darker days ahead include learning about investments, creating new income streams, growing food and supporting ministries helping the poor and oppressed. Souza emphasizes the importance of generosity during this time: “The more you sow your seed, the more your harvest is going to be.”
She also warns believers not to stay in the same “ship,” or rather the same mindset or business model of old. “In Acts 27, the ship hit a reef and broke apart. If we don’t shift now, we’ll go down with it.”
Souza’s urgent message is clear: discern the times like the sons of Issachar. Prepare during the time of blessing before the storm hits.
“This isn’t about fear,” she said. “It’s about being wise. God is warning us now so we can survive and thrive.”
